I created this blog to keep the memories of sixth form in MBS. It was indeed one of my best schooling experience and I believe it was too to my classmates of Lower six Science 1 and Upper Six Science 1! 

Orientation Week

Orientation week! Guys still remember this moment?? When Pn Wong came in to teach us how to sing the MBS school song! When we practiced singing, I could hear the lyrics of the school song being changed from "Come and sing a rousing song" to "Come and sing a lousy song" by some group of people..lol

Going crazy in bio lab..poor Mr deven we did not want to study and instead used his bio period for taking pics and doing the class page for the school mag.

Cross country Run 2007

The cross country race in MBS was held at youth park. It was very different from my previous school's cross country race! We started with aerobics dances and warm up lessons before starting the race. After the race, there's a singing competition before the prize giving event.

Prom Night 2007

Prom Night was held at Evergreen Laurel Hotel this year. Everyone from lower six was compulsory to attend the prom and perform at least one performance during the prom.

Our class sang a song titled "A Whole New World", one of the Disney's hits.

I uploaded this pic because it reminds me of what someone told me..that someone saw this pic and told me that Hooi Fong and Boon Ciat looked like the bride and bridegroom while Im the bridesmaid! Haha no offence done..just joking!

Bio practical

We have to complete a bio folio, preserve 25 species of insects and plants for our bio practical!

Penang hill trip to collect insects samples. 

For my group, Hooi ling, Hooi Fong,Boon Ciat and I were present. 

We went there with another group which consists of Keong, Saundra, Choon Ling and FenZi! 

We did collect some insects there and had some fun too!

We went to the canopy walk which is 2km from the Penang Hill station. We walked there and walked back..a lot of walking on that day!

And the bad thing is when we were leaving Penang Hill, there was an electricity failure! The whole Penang was out of electricity that day and so we had to jump off the train and walk down beside the train tracks! What an experience!

At Botanical Gardens

Hooi Ling,Boon Ciat and I went to the Botanical Gardens to collect insects samples for our bio project. We hike a bit up Moon Gate and found some really huge ants there. There were many butterflies too but they were too fast for us to catch! However we managed to catch some water striders, red dragonflies and a really fierce hornet that day! After our tiring catch,we went to the waterfall to play water. At first I was reluctant to get down but Boon Ciat make me go down by threatening to throw my shoes into the water...here's the proof of him holding my shoes with an evil smile...hehe

Hooi Ling's birthday party

Come December, and it's  Hooi Ling's birthday! She's the youngest in our class with her birthday on the 30th of December! She held a birthday party at her home. Below is the pic of our class members at her birthday party..

She held her birthday party on the 29th of december, so we waited till 12midnight to sing birthday song and cut cake with her. After she finished blowing off her candles, Hooi Fong pushed her down and her face landed in the cake..lol Oh ya and the cake was actually bought by us to purposely play her one! haha!

Chinese New Year 2008

This is probably the first time I go visit my friends during chinese new year and it was fun! It started with Hooi Ling's house, then Chuck Chuan's house then to Hooi Fong's house before going to Boon Ciat's home. 

This is the pic we took at a stop on the way up Balik Pulau. U can look down n see the whole of Balik Pulau from up there..a breathtaking scene! 

  

Boon Ciat's home is at Gertak sanggul and it's really far away. It's a fishing village i think and I really like the environment there! This pics were taken in gertak sanggul.

After visiting Boon Ciat's house, we proceeded to keong's house and after that, we went to Kek Lok Si. 

The last stop was my home. We played a few rounds of cards at my home before leaving and it was already 12am! A tiring but fun day! 

Hiking

In march 2008, there was a hike at youth park organised by Leo club. Well, I'm never the sporty type and I really have doubts completing this hike but luckily Hooi Ling was there and she would stop with me whenever I needed rest. So in the end I managed to finish the hike anyway!

MBS Sport's Day 2008

On sport's day, most of the clubs and societies set up stalls to sell food and drinks to collect funds for their club's activities. 

I was on duty that day together with Hooi Ling and Hooi Fong at the stall set up by the boards of librarians but our stuffs sold out quickly! We sold nasi lemak I think if im not mistaken..

Interact Club's visit to Chesire home

Chesire Home is a home for the handicapped. Over here the handicaps are trained to earn their own living by doing handicrafts and selling them.

This guy I think he's a social worker or administrator of the home...and Im not sure but I think he's doing it on a voluntary basis...so kind of him! In the pic, he was explaining stuffs about the home like how the funds come in and bla bla bla..He talks a lot on that day..

Lastly, we visited the mini workshop where the handicaps do and store their handicraft works. Chucky supported them by buying a toy dog which he put at the back of his car and it's now  still there I think...

Relay for Life 2008

The Relay for Life event was held at youth park on the same day as the National election day! My parents were reluctant to let me go but I went anyway...However i did not stay for the night..something that I regretted later on..sigh..I hope we have another chance to participate in this again! There were 10 members in one team and my team members were Hooi Ling, Hooi Fong, Choon Ling, Mu Xin, Fen Zi, Kausalya, Saravana, Chuck Chuan, Saundra, Cheah Yeem  and me! Chuck Chuan was the team captain. It was raining off and on that day.

Im the Survivor!

"Im the survivor" is a game some sort of like a tresure hunt organised by the Gerakan Belia Bersatu Malaysia (GBBM). I participated in this game and my team consists of Hooi Ling,Kausalya,Keong and me! Keong was the team leader. We had to switch to Hotlink numbers provided by the organizers during the game. At the start of the game, we gathered at the basketball court at Esplanade where the team leaders had to search for bottle caps on the field. Behind each bottle caps, there were words that matches each other..for example "Bread" matches with "Butter". So the team with the "Butter" word have to look for another team with the "Bread" word. After that, the two teams were supposed to go look for bags which contains tags and clues around Esplanade.

Each team had to go through 6 stations and the team that finishes the fastest wins! For my team, the first station is a chinese temple near the Chinese Town Hall. We had to look for people with characteristics such as "big mouth" and "bald" and take a picture of them.

2nd station, was at the front of Chowrasta Market where each team members had to pick up a card from a bucket full of worms..yucks! And then we had to eat two pieces of bread spreaded with soy sauce..eeks Keong ate all for my team so we need not have to eat it..yay him! haha!

3rd station is at the A&W booth outside Prangin Mall. Over here, we had to be blindfolded and eat 10 pieces of bread! Keong ate most of it..yay him again! haha!

The 4th station is near Khoo Kongsi. We were given a few pictures of heritage buildings and we were supposed to go round and look for the real buildings then write down the name and the historical facts of the buildings! 

The 5th station was near jetty. We had to do some really stupid things over here. They  gave us combinations like "4 legs" and "8 hands" so the team members had to skip with one leg each and their hands have to touch the ground. We had to do ten stunts but my group only abled to do a few so we were punished to sing a song and then count the number of motorcycle parkings over there!

The last station was at St Xaviers. This was one of the most terrible stations for the girls because they played with water and we the participants were wearing white shirts! Thank God all the girls in my team wore extra clothing inside! Over here we had to answer questions and for every correct answer we get to walk forward one step and for every wrong answer we get splashed with water! After this station, we had to walk back to Esplanade in our wet clothes! 

Overall the game was not very well organised and many people were furious about the organisers letting the participants to wear white when they very well know that water is involved in the game!

MBS Annual Speech Day 2008

The annual speech day is held every year to award the outstanding students in various field. 

There were 5 students from our class which were awarded on that day for their excellency in academics and also co-curricular activities. There were Teh Hooi Ling which got third placing in the whole Science stream for academic...

Then there's Chuck Chuan who got an award for Pengajian Am subject...

Well, there's nothing much that I can write about this event because I did not attend it..haizzz

Prom Night 2008

This is another event which I did not attend...but some of my classmates did and I think they had a great time there... kinda regretted for not going..haha
